Criteria
The teacher:
• Understands and uses key concepts, underlying themes, relationships, and different perspectives related to the content area.


• Uses knowledge of student development to make learning experiences in the content area meaningful and accessible for every student.

In my classroom, content is delivered to meet the needs of all students.  Differentiation of instruction is very important in administering classroom content.  This can be in the form of modified reading selections in order to meet the levels of students.  In my classroom, I like to incorporate a wide variety of learning materials.  Content is delivered through both auditory and visual means.  This might be me making a video to help students understand the difference between primary and secondary resources.  With the use of technology, I can provide a wide variety of learning materials.


• Relates ideas and information within and across content areas.


• Understands and uses instructional strategies that are appropriate to the content area.

This shows that I use a wide variety of instructional strategies that are appropriate for the content. When creating a lesson I use this template to help layout my Unit.
